Who was your favourite celebrity as a child? Jimmy Saville (now then, now then) – I just loved ‘Jim’ll Fix It’
What is most memorable about your school years? Struggling with most work…especially Maths
What word describes you best? Resolute
What is your favourite food? Pizza
Who do you admire? Out of everyone it would have to be my Nan. She was an incredibly loving and funny woman, she had a shit life really, lost her first husband in the ‘youth’ of their marriage and was left with 2 daughters, she then remarried my Grampy who was a womaniser, gambler and drink lover…she had 7 children in total and used to go from one cleaning job to the next to ensure there was food on the table and the bills were paid. Very strong and determined and would do anything for love and to do the right thing.
If you were invisible, where would you go? Buckingham Palace – I quite fancy having a squiz behind their closed doors.
What traits in others are you attracted to? Kindness, humour and honesty.
What traits in others turn you off? Arrogance, gobbiness and trying to impress.
What is the kindest thing anyone has done for you? My friend, who was best friend through senior school, was absolutely amazing when I was recovering from the Caesarean and when DH had just started his course, she invited me round to hers a few evenings a week and cooked me a meal and helped look after Habbie, so that I got a bit of a break, some proper food and DH had some quiet time to get work done. I’ll always be grateful to her for that, because of it being such a hard time x
What 3 objects could you not live without on a desert island? My pute/internet connection, books, photos
You have a 10 minute speech to give at a school, what is it about? The reality of having a baby
How many brothers/sisters do you have? Are you close to them? And does this/has this helped you make decisions on your own family size? I am an only child from my mum and dad’s relationship, however my dad had 2 sons previously that I don’t have contact with, and my mum went on to have my sister and brother when she married their dad. My sister is 21 (almost 9 yrs younger than me) and my brother is 18 next month, but despite the age gap we all get on very well and are very close. I can’t really answer the third question, as although I wanted a largish family of about 4-5 children I only have Habbie and until some great changes occur there won’t be any others.
If you could live another BB members life for just one day, whose would it be and why? Lois’ – I would love to work within the journalism industry, plus she is such a wonderful person, I’d love to get an insight into being her for a day :)
If you could swap your DH/DP with one person for one night, who would it be with? If this is on a sexual basis then no one…but to spend a night chatting until the wee hours, maybe Stephen Hawking or the Dalai Lama
What type of cake would you compare yourself to and why?
What animal would you be and why? An eagle maybe, a strong bird that is observant and obviously has the power to fly for a long amount of time.
If a genie gave you one wish, what would you wish for? Health and happiness for all my family and friends
If you could have any career in the world which would you pick and why? I would love to be an author, I love writing and reading, but alas have very little time for either and am not the best at the former!!
What would you do with a set of handcuffs, a pot of vaseline, a gag, a blindfold and a bowl of melted chocolate? I’d give the handcuffs, gag and blindfold to my friend who’s into all that kind of stuff, use the Vaseline to moisturise my elbows and knees…and the melted choc I’d pour over DH and lick off (of course!!) ;)
