20 questions - Sharon D
Name: Sharon Age: 37 Location: High Wycombe, Bucks Role of BB: Support Favourite BB folder: chit chat Who was your favourite celebrity as a child? Anneka Rice What is most memorable about your school years? Many memories, but loved long jump on sports days at my middle school - for some reason the fat kid (me) could do that and I won every year What word describes you best? I got stuck on this and asked DH, he said passionate, not sure if that is polite for obsessive What is your favourite food? Thai chicken curry Who do you admire? Anyone with the conviction to stand up for their rights If you were invisible, where would you go? the BBC where I would delete all copies of Carrie and David's Pop Shop What traits in others are you attracted to? kindness, self belief, patience What traits in others turn you off? Arrogance What is the kindest thing anyone has done for you? When Rachel was 14 months old she had amoxicillin induced hepatitus, this took a week to diagnose and a transfer to Kings Hospital in London where they had to do a biopsy. On the evening of her biopsy I could not get her to settle, she was being sick everywhere etc, finaly at midnight she settled down. I was exhausted and burst into tears, the 2 Dad's in the next cubicles took me to the cafe, got me hot choc from the machine and gave me a chat about how I wasn't being pathetic, not knowing is worse than knowing etc. Both their kids had cancer and they had been in several weeks, I had only met them that day. What 3 objects could you not live without on a desert island? Shampoo, computer (by this time they will all be solar powered and internet access will be literally world wide), box of matches - I never went to girl guides so don't know how to start a fire You have a 10 minute speech to give at a school, what is it about? The importance of family and how not to take them for granted. How many brothers/sisters do you have? Are you close to them? And does this/has this helped you make decisions on your own family size? 2 sisters - 1 is a half sister from my Dad's first marriage, I met her when I was about 12, she lives 100 miles away so I see her quite rarely, but chat on FB a few times a week. The other is my little sister, she only lives 4 miles away, we kind of get on now, but have had some massive fall outs in the past which still puts a bit of a strain on our relationship. The size of my family has not had an effect on our decisions, But DH is 1 of 8 and that has put me off large families, I don't think in the years I have known him there has been a time when all of them have got on If you could live another BB members life for just one day, whose would it be and why? This is where I wish I had written mine 1st as every time I have an answer I look and the others have stolen it! If I come up with another I will change this If you could swap your DH/DP with one person for one night, who would it be with? Dave Grohl What type of cake would you compare yourself to and why? Rocky Road - looks sweet and innocent, but full of little surprises What animal would you be and why? kangaroo- who wouldn't want to bounce around Australia all day If a genie gave you one wish, what would you wish for? That my kids can stay getting on with each other as well as they do at the moment If you could have any career in the world which would you pick and why? Scuba diving instructor - getting to do a great sport and getting paid! what would you do with a set of handcuffs, a pot of vaseline, a gag, a blindfold and a bowl of melted chocolate? Ok one of us will have to admit what we would really do with them! If the chocolate was too hot I would use the vaseline to help ease the sting from his burns after I'd finished with him What is the worst TV show ( past or present) that you'll admit to being a fan of? Dark Angel - the 1st series was brilliant, the 2nd awful, but I still had to buy them both on DVD and watch them again If you could choose an age and stay it forever, what age would you like to be? early 30's - I was starting to feel worldly wise, had just met DH and we had enough money to do what we wanted. _________________
