AF Arrived
Hi all
AF arrived this morning - so Jo CD1 for me today please.
This is the second month in a row that AF arrived 2 - 3 days early. I am basing this on my smiley face days and a 14 day gap between ov and af. At the moment I am running at about 12 days between ov and af - is this too short? Should I be worried?
I am hoping it is just a phase.
Also I had the most stressful day yesterday at work - I was physically shaking I was so stressed. Perhaps this could have brought AF on? I did actually think to myself yesterday I bet she will arrive - and she did.
Oh well, we didn't try our hardest this month, but I am still disappointed. I can just see these months slipping by again - I really thought it would happen quickly and got my hopes up for a Spring baby - now I will be looking at Autumn baby at the earliest :-(
Sorry, just feeling hormonal and miserable!
was about to ask how you are hun..sorry sorry she got you . dont really have any words of wisdom i am afraid...but am here for you xxxx
Oh Beccy, so sorry to hear that. My LP is only 11 days and i was told that is no problem whatsoever.
Lots of chocolate and wine and a big cuddle from DH prescribed!!
xx
Hi Beccy - ((hugs))
Has AF arrived 'properly', ie red blood? I used to think my luteal phase was short, until I started counting CD1 as the first day of red blood (because of needing to take Clomid from accurate CD2). I tend to get a couple of days of spotting before AF arrives properly, but the number of days between ov and red blood for me is 13-14 days.
If you are getting red blood and therefore your luteal phase is only 11 days, I agree with Lisa that this isn't something to worry about too much. If it were 9 or 10 days that might be different.
Interesting comment about stress. As I was in my post-IUI 20 minute rest I was reading the fertility brochure at the clinic, and it advised people having fertility treatment to take steps to reduce the amount of stress in their lives during the treatment, most notably at work and with busy social lives. I wonder if there has been a study done on the effects of stress on TTC?

HUgs hun
My lp (luteal phase) has always been 12 days and i was even spotting as early as days post ov but I still caught despite stressing myself out (and subsequently everyone on here) at the time.
I too think stress has huge part to play. Conceived first time round twice no problems, probably because i didnt know a lot about pregnancy and coneption back then but it took another 12 mths to get there again (there was a lot of other stuff going on too which contributed).
Dont assume anything is wrong for now, enjoy a big fat glass of wine for me (make it two as I cant have one) and gl this cycle! xxx

Sorry no words of wisdom but I'm sure the others are right about lp.
