Any difference between........
Hi Guys
This may seem like a stupid question, but hey if I dont ask I'll never know.
You know the bottles Avent and Tommee Tipee, and the sterilsers?
Would you recommend either or are they relatively the same in quality?
Are they different to each other in any way?

Hi there,
I use Avent bottles and get on with them fine - find them easy to use, wash and a great quality. The Tommee Tippee bottles are used by a lot of my friend who recommend them very highly. I think they have a wider teat and are more like a boob, so to speak - supposed to help avoid 'nipple' confusion!
As for the sterilisers, I've got an Avent !Q 24 which I love as it resterilises every 6 hours so you've always got sterile bits to hand. Whatever you do I'd make sure you get a Tommee Tippee steriliser if you get the bottles as they're slightly odd shaped and I'm not sure how well they'd fit in another brand of sterliser!
Hope this helps!
Hi
I used tommee tippee with my son. Bottles and sterilizer.
I had breast fed at first then had to stop and tommee tippee was recommended to me.
I had no problems at all, good quality items. I am sure the other brand is just as effective, but I haven't got any experience of it.

I had an Avent Steam steriliser since day 1 and all of the many different bottles I used fitted in there perfectly, i am still going to be using it with the new baby.
I used mainly Avent bottles and still have some from when Lennon was born!! They are very durable and replace, ents teats are ready available everywhere. I had 2 tommee tippee and found they were prone to leaks due to some teats were funny fitting but that was probably my wrong doing!
all in all I'd say avent were the best all round. definately for the steriliser!!
Just a quick reply.
We used TT bottles and a Lindam steam steriliser. Plenty of room for bottles and teats in there! and cheap as chips from Argos.

I have used Avent bottles and the steriliser with Emma and will use again this time round...
I know it's a minor thing BUT i like the fact avent to 4oz bottles - that looks big enough when feeding a little tiny dot let alone a 9oz one :-)
I use the TT bottles both 9oz and 5oz ones and I have a Avent IQ steriliser. Started off with Avent bottles but didn't like them and seemed to have difficulty feeding Henry from them. Changed to TT ones and he had no problems taking that bottle of expressed breast milk at night. I will say that the Avent IQ steriliser only fits 5 TT bottles in at one time as opposed to the normal 6 Avent bottles but I don't see this as a problem. I also find that the TT replacement teats are very widely available.
