Colief - anyone used?
this was recommended to me by the midwife, and I think it has made a big difference to Henrys screaming sessions! But the health visitor came today and she doesn't want me to keep him on it. AND he has had very wet poos since being on it. So has anyone else used it and what has your experience been? FWx

Hi FW, Yes, we used it religiously for Oliver as he was such a colicky baby! We tried most things but Colief certainly seemed to settle him more than Infacol, gripe water or any other 'remedies' that were recommended to us. Did the HV say why she didn't want you to keep Henry on it? The wet poos could just be Henry's system adjusting to having it in his milk and may well settle down after a week or so. HTH! munky

Yes! We used it for Rhys and it was FANTASTIC! Like an overnight cure! I seem to remember that he had runny poo too! It settled down a little after a week or so. It didn't work so well with Maisy, we have her on the Aptamil easy digest! HTH Em xx

We used it along with Gaviscon and it really did make a difference - if we ever forgot to use it we knew about it! We had runny poos but I'd rather it be that end than the other, at least they have a nappy on their bum! If you think it's working then I would stick with it - your HV isn't the one looking after your LO 24/7 so it's easy for her to criticise!! xxx

Hi FW We're suffering with colic too at the moment and it's driving me insane! We've been using Infacol and Gripe Water but neither of those have had much effect. I saw Colief on the shelf in Boots and having read about it on the Colief website I was tempted, but the only thing which put me off was administering it as I'm breastfeeding. Anyway, decided to give Infacol a few extra days but I'm tempted to try it as the others here certainly seem to recommend it. What was the reason the HV didn't want you to keep on using it?
