Colour schemes for shop
OK, this business lark is getting closer and I'm getting more scared by the second, but to take my mind off it, I'm looking for colour schemes for the shop and our branding. I need bright colours!
Our closest competitor has lime green and pink in their logo so don't want either of those. My first thoughts are emerald green and yellow, but a lot of shops have yellow here and I would like it to stand out.
I also fell in love with a juice bar/smoothie shop that had candy striped wallpaper on one wall in their shop so would love something like that but with no pink on one wall in ours. We'll probably paint rather than wallpaper so colour options are open.
Any ideas?
What will your shop be selling?
Crafty stuff I believe!!!!

i'm rubbish at this sort of thing but my DH is in the business of graphic design and shop brnading etc..if you need his email or website address i can pass it on.
on a personal level i like the concept of bright colours.
Just thinking a 'Candy shop' coulour scheme would be lovely - I always think good craft shopsare a bit like sweet shops - lots of little jars and bright colours etc!

OMG EmJ, what a fab idea - I'll have a quarter of pink sequins, flower embellishments etc etc.
I would go for the candy stripe effect.
When will you be open for business?!
Thanks Jen, we have a design company working on the branding just now but they would like ideas for colour schemes.
I'm now thinking lots of shades of lilacs and purples ( I really don't like pink!) As I said, our nearest competitor - 40 miles away though - has overdone the pink in my opinion!
http://www.justsocrafty.com/index.html . That's their website but they have pics of the shop on it!
Hels, we hope to be open by mid October at the la-*test*-('")!
Yep I agree it's a bit too pink, I'm not a pink person either.
I think a bright turquoise colour, to reflect the pretty sea and bright green, maybe with some yellow for the sunshine.
Like a big bright deckchair.
Oooh I'm excited for you!
Have you got a name yet?
We have a name but we're waiting for the grand unveiling!
All sounds very exciting Deakie. I like all the suggestions so far. Esp the candy strips and turquoise colours.
i liek the idea of the purples and lilacs deakie. i'd have the wall with the counter on vertical stripes of pastel purples, lilacs and thin white stripes. and the rest of the walls white with lots of accessories of similar colours to the stripey wall. if that makes sense. i like the sweet shop idea too. i know i've been conned by that before ;) it all looks so pretty, and you think you can do something with it all! so you buy something, but when you get home, you have absolutely no odea what to do with it!lol!
good luck, let us know what you choose.
