Craft fair
I;m going to a craft fair on Monday with my cards. I've suddenly become quite nervous! What if no-one buys anything from me? If or the other, more seasoned crafters think they are rubbish or are mean to me??!?!?!

Fayebird- 08-21-2008

Awww hon :bighug: and good luck!! You'll be great, am sure the other crafters won't pick on you :lol1: and don't be nervous about your cards - they really are fab!! x

Sarah- 08-21-2008

Thanks Faye!

Linzi- 08-21-2008

As Faye said your cards are fab you have nowt to worry about xxx

Deakie- 08-21-2008

Sarah, your cards are gorgeous! I don't think you have anything to worry about at all!

Smith- 08-21-2008

Sarah, don't be nervous, you'll be fine :goodluck:

Sarah- 08-22-2008

Aww, thanks ladies.

Lou- 08-22-2008

if they're mean to you can you flash them a solicitor business card and tell them you'll sue for mean-ness :-) (not that they will be, of course)

Smith- 08-25-2008

How did it go?????

Loubie- 08-25-2008

Aww I missed this before otherwise I would have wished you luck! Hope you did really well, your cards are lovely so I'm sure you will have done! xx

It was awful! I only sold 9 cards, so didn't even make my money back from the stall. My only consilation is that no one else made their money back either! The hall was in the middle of no where (I guess I should have checked this before I signed up) and no-one came. Everyone was pretty annoyed that the company who organised it charged £15 for a stall and didn't promote it etc.. very well. Some poor people didn't sell anything, even though their stuff was pretty good. I'm not best pleased :(

Loubie- 08-26-2008

Aww how awful, I'm really sorry it didn't go better, I was lucky when I did mine as it was in a village at the church so it was fairly busy all the time. Hope it's not put you off? xx

elaine- 08-26-2008

Oh no Sarah. What a bunch of idiots!! I hope it has not put you off. Elaine.

To be honest, it has put me off at the moment. I am feeling a little disheartened. The main problem was I think was that there was no passing traffic. I think they are the kind of thing that people drop in to as they pass rather than plan to go to?

Loubie- 08-26-2008

I agree entirely - the one I did was at our church which is in a small village - they have an Art Exhibition every August which is really well supported, not just by locals but by people from surrounding towns/villages too. Hopefully if you do another one it will be much better supported - no matter how good your wares are, if there's no one to see them they can't buy them! Hugs xx
