Do your little ones actually play with ANYTHING?
I am so p'd off with toys just being pulled out and thrown around only to be abandoned and more crap pulled out and left lying around. Tell me, what exactly is the point of having loads of toys? All you need is an ELC plastic table for them to push around the house, as proved by Andrew over the last few months. Grrrrrr.

A plastic table and a large cardboard box!? x

Kieran plays with his train set but he is not happy unless he has every piece of it out of the box. All his other toys are now in his bedroom (which permanently looks like a bomb has hit it) but he does fetch a few things down every day but I always make him take stuff back up when he goes. But yes he does get loads of stuff out all over the place and it drives me mad too. love Jenny

No, I don' t they do b! At present Sam as his little friend Sandie here and they have every toybox tipped out int he conservatory and have now moved into the front room to play with the window blinds...Arghhh!! lol! Poor Toby is crawling through all the rubble of toys in the conservatory looking like some poor child who needs rescuing by the Red Cross. They have played a lovely game with the sofa cushions this morning....I'm thinking I may just return all the presents (!) dolly x ds x 4

100% agree here too! Matthew either wants a cardboard box which his xmas presents came in (I ask you!) which has now been put out for recyling as I can't bear any more rubbish around the house, not to mention the near accidents as I trip over it. Or else he wants to play with Jessicas toys, which I hasten to add, he did not want to play with them when he was little..... I must have virtually the whole ELC catalogue in this house (it feels like it) and I genuinely am cutting down as he's never really that patient with anything and before 10am the whole house is out. Kezza - it must take you ages to type starting every word with a capital letter (or do you have a setting on your pc which does it for you) - I am intrigued LOL. x

LOL b! Nope he doesn't play with toys. Why would you when you could play with the bins, swing off the kitchen units, climb onto the back of the sofa, try and pull the TV off the wall ..... xxx

Guess what takes up most room in our living room? Jess's fave toy, a rather large box that our friends gave us when they moved house! Its Jess's house!! xxxx

oooooh, i was going to say maybe it's a boy thing but clearly not. Elizabeth loves play with her toys lots and lots. She loves us to join in too. The only time she doesn't is when she tries to "help" us when we're doing something instead. Maybe it's an age thing. Now she's that little bit older she makes up all sorts of little games to play with her toys and uses her imagination a lot more. Well cute!

He will get things out and play with them for a bit, but then they get abandoned in the middle of the floor. His favourite things to play with at the moment are the cat toys - oh, and his pirate sword and hook. He will "rediscover" toys - but that just makes it really hard to pack anything away or dispose of anything! I've just rearranged his playroom (in preparation for what I know Santa will be bringing him, ahem!) He tends to collect odds and sods - broken hangers, bits of ribbon, odd bits of lego, combs, etc etc and they all accumulate at the bottom of his toybox - so I've just done a clean-out. Heaven forbid that he should see me throw anything away!... I think I'm going to get strict with him at some point before Christmas and ask him which "baby toys" we can pack away in a box and put in the loft! wish me luck....
